We chose le Jacaranda du Guillaume to celebrate our Silver Wedding Anniversary last weekend. We received a truly benevolent warm welcome. The rooms are comfortable with a high level of amenities and equipment – a private spa in each room for example. The table d’hôte dinner is an experience you must have: meal based on quality local products and made with both passion and generosity. To put it in a nutshell, we have spent a dream weekend in a gorgeous setting.
A very nice place, with services equivalent to those of a starred hotel. Yves is a passionate person who enables you to share his taste for culture and appreciate his cooking skills, together with his wife, Sophie.
An experience to be renewed without moderation.
Thank you, Yves and Sophie, for your warm welcome.
We have enjoyed an excellent time in this place decorated with great taste.
The swimming-pool is exceptional, as are the rest of the amenities.
The historical touch carefully presented bestows the place a unique atmosphere.
We really look forward to coming back again and we will recommend this peaceful haven to all our relatives.
We have had a very good time in this new accommodation which a lot more people will definitely endorse.
A nice garden
Ravenala thickets and a Monstera Deliciosa harbour a local chameleon which looked somewhat flustered after surviving two cyclones.
A place to enjoy peace and quiet
I sat in the spa, with the blowers opened at top intensity and the truth is the massage is far more efficient than what my physiotherapists do for my back.
Next time, I will go belly first and I will get slimmer in a jiffy!
A dinner to be enjoyed
We started with a delicious Pina Colada – I had a refill – with Bonbons Piments (a sort of spicy cookies) and Pâté Créole (a sort of meat pie). The latter is far less dry than is usually found.
Sophie and Yves are very pleasant hosts.
Yves, who is in charge of the guest house, likes things that are beautiful and genuine.
He has had the furniture made by a family-run cabinet-making workshop located in Saint-André: Vencatachellum.
He has selected a firm located in la Rivière-Saint-Louis, Rossolin, for complimentary toiletries such as shampoo, shower gel and mosquito repellents.
The tea bags in the rooms are also locally made by le Labyrinthe En Champ Thé, at Grand-Coude and there is a Nespresso coffee machine in every room.
Yves loves cooking, History and genealogy.
A splendid setting and a very warm welcome from the owners. The room is very pleasant and well equipped: tabletop fridge, espresso machine, washing-machine, very large TV set and a lot more. Special mention for the excellent WiFi connection. The swimming-pool is nice and big and the spas are private. What else? The host cooks excellent meals which enable you to discover new horizons. I strongly advise you to discover this little paradise. Thank you for this nice experience in Saint-Paul heights. Friendly yours, Ornèlla
We have spent 2 days at le Jacaranda du Guillaume. Its setting is highly relaxing, with a special mention for the very pleasant tropical garden. We have really enjoyed the huge swimming-pool as well as the private spa in our suite. On top of that, the hosts will really care for you, both through their cooking and their kindness.
While on holidays on Réunion Island, we have spent an excellent time at le Jacaranda du Guillaume. Warm welcome, calm, relaxing. The bedrooms are splendid and the creole meals delicious. Very large nice pool with easy access to disabled persons. I endorse it and would really like to stay there again.
